ABOUT THE ARTIST My Name is T’Nia Neal and I am a self-taught clay sculpting artist. I started creating at the early age of seven years old when I was diagnosed with a form of Autism called “Asperger’s Syndrome” Ironically my disability actually helped to enhance and broaden my creative side. I have since created hundreds of different types of GemZoan sculptures out of colored non hardening and oven baked polymer clay. All of my creations are originals designs from my imagination and no two are exactly alike. GemZoan is the word I chose because the word “Zoan” is from the Greek meaning of “animal” and each sculpture has a Gem. My collection called GemZoanWorld consists of 5 types of GemZoan Categories which are:
I). GemZoan (animal-like)
2). GemPhyloto (plant-like)
3). GemFungi (mushroom-like)
4). GemElemental (elements like water, fire, earth, etc.)
5). GemAuto (machine-like/artificial GemZoan)
